Rayford Whitley

Rayford Adison Whitley, 74 years of age, of Midland NC, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. He was born October 9, 1938 to the late Relis Adison Whitley, and the late Ossie Whitley . He was also preceded in death by wife, Helen Whitley; sisters, Jennie Mae Kiker and Irene Whitley, and brother R.W. Whitley; numerous nieces and nephews The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland, NC. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, April 19 in the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Concord, officiated by Rev. Roger Bostic. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St, Albemarle. Survivors include son, Billy Dale Whitley of Midland, NC; sister Frances Strube of Concord NC; sister, Barbara Cox of Indian Trail, NC; and dear friend Ann Furr of Norwood, NC. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Whitley family.
