Raymond Canfield

Raymond Lee Canfield, 68, of Concord passed away on July 3, 2021 at Atrium Health in Concord, NC.

He was born on March 4, 1953 to the late Clare and Louise (Bevis) Canfield in Cortland, NY. Raymond worked as a maintenance supervisor in the lumber industry for 50 years in which he thoroughly enjoyed. Raymond was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years Dora Canfield; mother Louise Canfield, and father Clare Canfield.

Raymond was known for being a family man and adored spending time with his grandchildren. He was well known for having an amazing sense of humor and a laugh that you could not forget. He understood what it was to be patient and kind to others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He was a NASCAR and Pittsburgh Steelers fan to no end, and often was in attendance at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. In his spare time he could be found tending to his garden and simply enjoying the outdoors in which he loved. Raymond will be remembered for being a generous man and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Raymond is survived by his son, Matthew Canfield of Fort Mill , SC; daughter, Trina Trull (Robert) of Concord, NC; three grandsons, Noah Trull, Parker Canfield, Gregory Canfield.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, NC.
