Raymond Helms

Raymond “Scott” Helms, 51, formerly of Midland, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at home. The family will receive friends at Bethel United Methodist Church, 12700 Idlebrook Road in Midland, on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Mark Clontz, will be in the church sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Helms was born in Mecklenburg County on October 22, 1960. He graduated from Central Cabarrus High School in 1980. Following high school, he went to work for H&B Tool and Die Supply Co. in Charlotte where he was currently employed. Scott is survived by his son, Bryan Scott Helms of the home; parents, Wade and Joyce Black of Concord; a brother David Black of Concord; and his wife, Lora H. Helms of Midland. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Helms and a brother Rick Helms. Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 12700 Idlebrook Rd. Midland, NC 28107.
