Raymond Myers Sr

Raymond Murl Myers Sr., 88, of Concord, NC passed away on March 8, 2011 at his home. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 10 from 1-2 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home. At other times the family will receive friends at the home. The funeral service will follow at 2 PM in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Rocky River Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Rev. Bill Saylor and Rev. Donald Lisk will officiate the services. Mr. Myers was born in Cabarrus County on January 17, 1923 to the late Thomas and Lillie Myers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Frances Myers Hinson; brothers, Richard and John Myers; sisters, Elisa Myers, Flora Myers, Theta Myers Nixon, Ola Myers Necasie, Hallie Myers Smith. Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Dorothy Myers of the home; son, Raymond Murl Myers Jr. of Canton, GA; daughter, Jean Greene of Locust, NC; grandchildren, Michael Lee Greene, and Steven Michael Hinson. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Myers family.
