Raynell Cooke

Raynell  Rowland Cooke, 99, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at Spring Arbor of Albemarle.

Raynell was born May 2, 1922 in Concord, NC to the late Samuel Cole Rowland and Bertha Jane Rowland. She was also preceded in death by husband, Harold Craig Cooke, Jr. and daughter, Jan Cooke.

The family will have a Graveside Service at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main St., Albemarle and will be officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson.

Survivors include sons, Kent (Cindy) Cooke of Albemarle and Alan Cooke of Concord; granddaughters, Maggie (John) Bird, Liza (Mike) Elsner, and  Stacy (Jack) Lee; grandson, Scott (Jessica) Cooke; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 202 N Second St., Albemarle, NC 28001, and Hospice of Stanly County and Uwharrie, 960 N First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
