Rayvon Ferguson

Rayvon Vance Ferguson, 88, of Midland, N. C., passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011, in Carolinas Medical Center – Union, of Monroe. Mr. Ferguson was born December 12, 1922, in Mecklenburg County. He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Vance Ferguson; his mother, Ester Flowe Ferguson; and his son-in-law, Larry Walker. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Midland officiated by Rev. Donald Lisk. Burial will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery of Charlotte. Survivors include his daughter, Sue Ferguson Walker, of Midland; his brother, Aaron Ferguson, of Mint Hill; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Mint Hill Historical Society, P.
