Rebecca "Becky" Lewis

Rebecca "Becky" Brown Biggers Lewis, 81, of Mint Hill, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Matthews Presbyterian Hospital. She was born January 16, 1940, at Mercy Hospital, Charlotte, the oldest child of Ted Howard and Alice Brooks Biggers.

Becky grew up on the west side of Charlotte and graduated from Harding High School in 1958. She attended Aurora College in Aurora, Illinois, then went to work for Eastern Airlines as an executive account manager in reservations. After her retirement from Eastern, Becky turned her love of painting and crafting into a business with an annual booth at the Metrolina Christmas Show.

Becky met her husband, Mike, in 1965. They were married on Valentine's Day, 1970, at Christ Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, formerly Camp Greene Presbyterian.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Biggers Whitlock.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Michael Paul Lewis; brother, Ted Howard Biggers, Jr., and wife, Elizabeth; brother, Thomas Allen Biggers, and wife, Cathy; nieces, Alexis Biggers Baker,  Alice Biggers Tejeda, Kandi Lewis Dubuque, and Kamala Lewis; nephews, Paul David Whitlock, Ted Howard Biggers, III, and Robert Lee Lewis; great-nephew, Henry Phillip Baker; and her brother-in-law, Robert Lee Lewis.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at Dulin's Grove Advent Christian Church.  The service will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Matt Broadway.  Becky will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
