Reggie F. Stoker, 79 years of age, a resident of Stanly County for most of his life, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 in Marietta, Georgia. Mr. Stoker was born March 8, 1934 in Albemarle, to the late Wade Franklin Stoker and the late Gertrude Beatrice Mann Stoker. Mr. Stoker was preceded in death by his sons, Terry Franklin Stoker and Timothy James Stoker. He was also preceded in death by his brother Paul Stoker. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Richfield Baptist Church with Rev. De Hillyer and Rev. Brian Miller officiating. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the church following the service Mr. Stoker is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jo Reeves Plyler Stoker; daughter Mitzi Stoker West and husband Rodger of Marietta, Georgia; granddaughters Lauren West Yancey and husband Warren; Carolyn Phillips and husband Chase; and great-grandchildren West and Charlotte Yancey. He is also survived by siblings Wade Kent Stoker and Nancy Stoker Morris as well as an extended circle of loving friends and family. Mr. Stoker worked for Keebler Company as a salesman for many years. He was a member of Richfield Baptist Church for over 50 years where he gladly served as deacon, choir member, and Sunday School teacher.
