Rena Tarlton

Rena Bronnie Baucom Tarlton, 89 of Union County passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at Brian Center of Monroe. Mrs. Tarlton was born March 10, 1923 in Union County to the late Maylan Baucom and Ole Alice Baucom. She was also preceded in death by her husband John Junior Tarlton of Monroe and one son Wayne Tarlton. The family will receive friends from 7:30 until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday graveside at Crooked Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery; 7918 Crooked Creek Church Rd., Monroe, officiated by Rev. Dr. Darrell Nance. Survivors include her four sons, Melvin Tarlton of Concord, Bufford Tarlton of Monroe, Ronald Tarlton of Monroe, Ricky Tarlton of New Salem; one daughter Alice T. Helms of Charlotte; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110.
