Rev. James Hartsell

Rev. James Lee Hartsell, age 73 of Albemarle, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Stanly Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Tuesday, June 19, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Plyler Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 20, at 11 a.m. and will be officiated by Rev. Brian Franklin. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Rev. Hartsell was born in Cabarrus County on June 18, 1938, to the late Jonas Calvin Hartsell and the late Bertie Lee Autin Hartsell. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Lee Ross Hartsell, of the home; one son, James Hartsell and his wife Sheri of Albemarle; two daughters, LeeAnne Hartsell Broadway and her husband Michael of Salisbury and Ross Marie Hartsell of Albemarle; one sister, Ann Barbee and her husband Parks of Oakboro; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
