Rev. Jimmie Cope

Rev. Jimmie Lee Cope, age 63, of 4387 Greenridge Lane Kannapolis, N.C., died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at CMC-Northeast in Concord, N.C. Mr.Cope was employed by KolorTex as a supervisor and was a member of Independence Square Freewill Baptist Church-Kannapolis. The family meeting place will be the home at 4387 Greenridge Lane, Kannapolis. Rev. Cope was a member of The Pilgrim Association of Freewill Baptist Churchs. Born in Jackson County, NC on November 24, 1945 he was the son of the late Erastus Cope and the late Beulah (Stephens) Cope. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife-Fonda Rae (Schreck) Cope; of Kannapolis, NC, son-Rod Culver of Monroe, NC son-Bill Culver of Winston Salem, NC and son- Brandon Revis of Concord, NC daughter-Katrina Wilkins of Concord, NC and daughter-Sheila Culver of New York brother-Darrell Cope of Sylva, NC brother-Gale William Cope of Sylva, NC brother-Pete Cope of Great Falls, Montana, sister-Kathleen Furr of Concord, NC Twelve grandchildren Two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel - Concord at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2009 , Rev. Ronald Cooper Rev. Allen Montgomery officiating. Interment will be at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens in Concord, N.C.
