Rev. Lonnie Faulkenbury

Rev. Lonnie Alvin Faulkenbury, 80, of Stanfield, Stanly County, and a retired pastor, passed away Friday, August 14, 2009. Visitation Monday, August 17, and service Tuesday, August 18, at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Midland, NC. Rev. Faulkenbury, a US Navy Veteran, was born September 13, 1928, in Pageland, Chesterfield County, SC. He was the son of the late Henry Manuel and Lillie Florence Plyler Faulkenbury. His wife, Naomi Huneycutt Faulkenbury, also preceded him in death. Survivors include his daughters; Phyllis F. Thompson and husband, Thommy, of Marietta, GA, and Patricia Elaine Faulkenbury of Albemarle, and grandchildren; Zachery Thompson and Elizabeth Elaine Thompson. Burial was in Oakboro Cemetery, Oakboro, NC.
