Rhonda Whitley

Rhonda Joyce Whitley, 60, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at her mothers home, surrounded by her family, in Stanfield.

Rhonda was born November 6, 1955 in Cabarrus County to the late Billy Ray Whitley and Ancel Goforth Whitley.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Love's Grove UMC, 4360 Polk Ford Road, Stanfield, NC, where Rhonda was a lifelong member. The memorial service officiated by the Rev. Jim White will follow the visitation in the church at 3 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Diane Fink and husband, Junior of Stanfield; and godchildren, Brent Hatley and wife, Carmen of Stanfield, and Holly Best and husband, Bryan of Honolulu, HI and a number of nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Rhonda loved spending time with her family and her once a week visits with Drew and Cooper Hatley, and her computer chats with the five Best Children. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Livingston of Levine Cancer Center, Dr. Jaspal Singh Pulmonary Specialist, Dr. Chandana Ganguli of Charlotte Medical Center, Dr. Theodore Frank of Sanger Heart Clinic, Dr. Jonathan Patterson of Cabarrus Family Medicine, Fresenius Dialysis of Albemarle and Community Home Hospice of Troy for the care and love they showed Rhonda.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Love's Grove United Methodist Church Mission's Fund, P. O. Box 276 Stanfield, NC 28163.
