Richard Culp
March 26, 1946 — January 21, 2010
Mr. Richard William Culp 63 of Concord passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at WG Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.
He was born on March 26, 1946 in Mecklenburg County to the late Robert Ernest Culp and the late Margaret Louise Culp. Mr. Culp was a US Air Force Veteran, and was a truck driver. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
The family meeting place will be at the home.
A visitation will be held at Central Baptist Church, Kannapolis on Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 4:30 until 6 PM. Funeral services will follow at the church at 6 PM, with the Rev. Curtis Parker and the Rev. Allen Reid officiating.
A Graveside service will follow on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 10 AM at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Military honors will be performed at graveside by The Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard.
Survived by: wife, Priscilla Ann "Peggy" Culp of the home; daughters, Ashland Culp and Meredith Cherry and husband John both of Myrtle Beach; son, Andy Culp and wife Stephanie of Morganton; step-sons, Jeffrey Lippard and wife Cathy, Bryan Lippard and wife Lisa both of Concord and Barry Lippard and wife Dawn of Huntersville; brother, Robert Culp and wife Teena of Concord; eighteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
