Richard Dunigan

Richard Andrew "Dick" Dunigan, Age 72 of 24850 Barbees Grove Rd., Oakboro,
NC 28129, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at his home.

There will be no services, per his request. Burial plans are incomplete.

Born in Fairmont WVA. He was a graduate of Mannington High School and was a retired welder from Weirton Steel, a subsidiary of National Steel, after 30 years. After moving to Oakboro in 1986, he worked numerous jobs. He loved our precious Vizla children with furr, Windy, Josie, and Blaze. He was a bowler, hunter, and fisherman. He served in the US Army in Berlin and in the Cuban Crisis from 1961 to 1963.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dick and Blanche “Mom,” and parents Andrew Patrick and Mary Jane Dunigan, an infant son, James Andrew Dunigan, and son Richard Alan Dunigan

He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Reed Dunigan of Oakboro, NC; first wife, Mary Ann Gaston of New Cumberland, WVA; daughter- Michele Ann Hudson and husband Paul of New Cumberland WVA; grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Hudson and Tasha Dawn and Tricia Ann Marker; brother Pat Dunigan and wife Jeanette of Mannington, WV, and Tom Dunigan and wife Carol of Rivesville, WVA; sister Linda Latocha and husband John of Mannington, WVA, extended family and step family.
