Richard Hatley

Richard "Dicky" Martin Hatley, 66 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Dicky was born November 8, 1947 in Stanly County to the late Martin Clifford Hatley and the late Annie Lambert Hatley. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert C. Hatley. The funeral service will be on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Freedom Biker Church, 5113 Hwy. 74 West in Monroe officiated by Pastor Steven E. Starling. At other times the family will be gathering at the home. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beverly Sue Barbee Hatley of the home. Dicky was owner and operator of Harley Enterprises for 35 years. He was passionate about his work and riding, and loved his dog. He also served on the Town Council of Red Cross. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Hatley family.
