Richard Irvin

Richard Carlton Irvin, 75, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Presbyterian – Main, Charlotte, NC Mr. Irvin was born August 22, 1935, in Cabarrus County, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Overcash Irvin; father, Crawford Morrison Irvin; mother, Pearl Williams Irvin; and brothers, Bill Irvin and Paul Ryan Irvin. He served two years active duty in the Marines. The visitation will be Sunday, January 16, 1 – 2 p.m., Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral will begin at 2:00 in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Midland, officiated by Rev. Mark Clontz. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery, Concord. Military graveside rites will be presented by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the North Carolina Lion’s Foundation, P. O.
