Richard Kidd

Richard Selver “Ricky” Kidd, 52, of Concord, NC, passed away October 4, 2011 at Universal Health Care of Concord. Mr. Kidd was born March 24, 1959 in Mecklenburg County to the late William Selver Kidd and Mildred Joyce Collins Kidd. He was a 1978 graduate of Garinger High School of Charlotte and a security officer. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7, at Ridgeview Baptist Church of Charlotte. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the sanctuary officiated by Dr. Charles Fouslee. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park of Charlotte. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his mother, Joyce Kidd; two brothers, William J. Kidd and his wife, Sheila, and Chris Kidd, both of Concord; and his sister, Sylvia Edwards and her husband, Phillip, of Charlotte. Memorials may be made to Ridgeview Baptist Church, 7700 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte, NC 28214. The family would like to especially thank the doctors in Concord and Charlotte for their care of Ricky.
