Richard Allman Lowery

Richard Allman Lowery, 86, of Midland, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Richard was born November 8, 1937, in South Carolina to Jethro A. Lowery and Julia Rowena McGrath Lowery. After graduating from Rock Hill High School, he served for three years in the U.S. Army. Richard had an adventurous spirit, which took him to Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York. He married Doris Ann Wallace in 1970, and they settled in Midland, NC. He was happiest when he was working in his yard or tinkering in his store house with gadgets and projects.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carolyn Carter and bother, Douglas Lowery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Dulin's Grove Advent Christian Church. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 3:00 pm at Dulin's Grove Advent Christian Church in Charlotte officiated by Pastor Matt Rice. Burial will follow at the Dulin's Grove Advent Christian Church Cemetery at 11200 Arlington Church Rd., Charlotte.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Ann Lowery of Midland; son, Randy Lowery of Savannah, GA; and daughter, Jennifer Huff of Richmond Hill, GA; and a sister, Rebecca Price of Port Orange, FL.
