Richard Luce

Richard Carlton Luce, 93 years of age, of Richfield, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Meadows of Rockwell Retirement Center in Rockwell.

Mr. Luce was born May 24, 1924 in Pennsylvania to the late Harold Carlton Luce and the late Helen Rebecca Luce.  He was also preceded in death by wife, Regina Waskievicz Luce.

Richard was an Army veteran serving during World War II and received several military honors including a Purple Heart.

There will be a graveside on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include son, Richard J. Luce (Karen) of White Plains, NY; daughter, Christine Luce (Jeff) Parnell of Richfield, NC, daughter, Lori Best, daughter, Debbie Laviska, daughter, Sue Talent, grandson, Joseph Laviska, grandson, Jeremy Parnell, granddaughter, Jessie Parnell, grandson, Jake Parnell, and several great-grandchildren.

Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle is serving the Luce family.
