Richard Markonic

Richard Joseph Markonic, age 70, of NC passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at his home. Richard was born on October 27, 1941 in Brownsville, PA., to Mildred Erceg Markonic and the late Martin Markonic. He was also preceded in death by a brother Martin Frederick Markonic. Richard was a parole officer. He graduated high school in Marlboro, NY and earned his masters in criminology at Florida State University. A memorial service will be held at a later date, with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Middlehope, NY. Richard is survived by his wife of 43 years, Paula Sara Spokony Markonic of the home; son, Steven Markonic and wife Marlen of NC; mother, Mildred Anne Erceg Markonic of, NC.
