Ricky Miller

Ricky Warren Miller, 56 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Rick was born June 28, 1957 in Lorain, Ohio. He was the son of the late Rev. Henry Elbert Miller and Charlotte Mae West Miller of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3pm Monday, April 14, 2014 at Roberta Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 3 pm officiated by Rev. Steve Pennington. The burial will be at the Patterson Family Cemetery on Roberta Church Rd. in Concord. At other times the family will be gathering at his daughter Mandy Helm's home, 3352 Roberta Rd. in Concord.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Dianne Trull Miller of the home; son, Jared Miller and wife Alicia of Concord; daughter, Mandy Miller Helms and husband Matt of Concord; his beloved adopted son, Billy Trull and wife Sheila of Midland; brother, Henry Steven Miller of Charlotte; sisters, Joyce Privette of Charlotte, and Mary Jane Jones of Gastonia; and his five granddaughters that he loved dearly.

Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He retired from UPS Freight, and had been a volunteer fireman in Harrisburg. He was a faithful member of Roberta Baptist Church, where he previously served on the deacon board. Rick loved the outdoors. He enjoyed working in the hay fields and fishing.
