Rita Fusco

Rita Rose Fusco, 83 years of age, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at CMC Northeast Medical Center in Concord, NC. Rita had all her loving family at her bedside during her time at the hospital.
Rita was born April 22, 1932 in Boston, MA to the late Anthony and Maria Russo. She married the love of her life the late Joseph Russell Fusco in February 1962.
Rita thoroughly enjoyed to crochet and did needle point projects that she made for all of her family members. She and her daughter also enjoyed to play Bingo and did so every Thursday and Sunday for many years. Rita loved spending time with her entire family and took pride in giving rather than receiving.
Rita is survived by her sister Jennie Russo, her four children, Russell & his wife Sheri, Marie, Therese and Anthony & his girlfriend Cindi Conti. She has 6 grandchildren, Larry, Kristen, Dominic, Tess, Joseph, Jocelyn and a great grandson Izaak. Grandma will be forever missed for her unconditional love and support.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2015, 6-8pm at Hartsell Funeral Home located at 460 Branchview Drive, Concord, NC. Service (Mass) on Monday, September 21, 2015, 11am at St. James the Greater Catholic Church by Father Donovan located at 139 Manor Ave. SW, Concord, NC. Rita will be laid to rest at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens, 3892 Hwy 73, Concord, NC, following the Service.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Rita Fusco’s honor to the Levine Cancer Institute.
