Robbie Russell

Robbie Mae Deese Russell, 87, of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center, Northeast. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Friday, December 30, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Truth Temple, 2705 Moose Road, Kannapolis, NC, on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. Rev Garland Faw will officiate. At other times the family will meet at the home of her son, Mark Russell. Mrs. Russell was born on October 29, 1924, to the late Glen T. Deese and Betty Autry Deese. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jon Russell who owned Jon & Son Ornamental Iron. She is survived by a son, Mark Russell and wife Melody of Concord; a grandson, Jeremy Matthew Russell of Durham; a granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Russell Daniel and husband, Brian of Atlanta, Ga; and two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Kherrington. She was an avid gardener, loved by many and a friend to all. To know her was to love her. Memorials may be made to Truth Temple, 2705 Moose Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
