Robbin Stamey

Robbin Gaskey Stamey, 51 years of age, of New London, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Robbin was born July 31, 1962 in Cleveland County to the late Willard Douglas Gaskey and the late Ruby Merrill Weaver Gaskey.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, April 18, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Derald Smith will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Chandler's Grove United Methodist Church, 2535 Blaine Road, New London. Robbin will lie in state one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Cleveland Memorial Park at 1225 College Avenue, Shelby, NC at 3:00 PM.

She is survived by her husband, Vincent Ray Stamey of New London; son, Patrick Stamey and daughter, Jenna Stamey of the home; mother in law, Joyce Stamey of Shelby; two sisters in law, Vickie Hamrick, of Shelby, and Vonda Adams of Mt. Pleasant, SC.

Robbin was employed as an RN at Albemarle Correctional Center. Her prior employment included Wake Medical Center and Cleveland Memorial Hospital. Robbin's greatest love was her family. She will long be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, and friend.
