Robert Barringer

Robert Alexander Barringer, 84 years of age, of Richfield, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Universal Healthcare in Concord.

Mr. Barringer was born February 29, 1932 in Cabarrus County to the late John Paul Barringer and the late Mertie Mae Barringer. He was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, Friday, September 2, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel at 1:00 PM officiated by Rev. Jim Groome. Burial will follow at the Richfield Cemetery at Depot Street, Richfield.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Catherine Barringer; daughters, Cathy (Lane) Lowder of New London and Betty (David) Laton of Albemarle; grandchildren, Steven Lowder, James Lowder, Derrick Laton, and Brian Laton; great grandchildren, Allison Lowder, Weston Lowder and Emma Lowder.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richfield Cemetery Fund, c/o Bobby Yow, 48542 Willie Road, Richfield, NC 28127.
