Robert “Red†Fulton Coble, 79, of Monroe, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, in Autumn Care of Marshville, NC. Mr. Coble was born October 22, 1931, in Mecklenburg County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ila Mae Coble, exactly one year ago; father, Robert Finley Coble; mother, Ethel Ellen Thomas Coble; and brothers, Charles and Tom Coble. Mr. Coble worked in construction most of his life and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Monroe. The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 p.m., Sunday, July 17, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m., Monday, in Antioch Baptist Church, with a 30 minute state, officiated by Rev. George Gouge, Rev. Joe Query, and Rev. Donald Newell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include his daughter, Lana Jackson, of Concord; grandchildren, James Mullins, Jr. and Christina Mullins; brothers, Fred Coble and Johnny Coble of Charlotte, and Baxter Coble of Harrisburg; sister, Ginger Canipe of Charlotte; and great-granddaughter Trinity Whitley.
