Robert Cox

Robert Eugene Cox, age 71 of 5570 Richfield Rd, Richfield, NC passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Carolinas Medical-NorthEast. He was born February 16, 1939 in Cabarrus County. He was of the Baptist faith and a self employed brick mason. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #348. He loved his family. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jessie Eugene Cox and Maggie Lou Creed Cox. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Sue Cox Tucker, sister, Peggy Kee, and brother, Jim Cox. He is survived by wife, Annie Lou Fraley Cox of the home, son, Rodney Cox of Aquadale; daughter, Sandy Cox Hunter of Richfield; 3 step children; Terry Harrison of Rockwell, Teresa Bolton of Rockwell, Tammy Mauldin of New London; sisters, Rachel Hartsell of Concord and Brenda Kiker of Midland; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Funeral service will follow at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. Masonic rites will be conducted.
