Robert Cress

Robert Eugene Cress, 87 years of age, of Concord, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at W. G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.
Robert was born March 9, 1929 in Concord, NC. He was also preceded in death by wife, Elsie Elizabeth Cress; and mother Viola Elizabeth Cress.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Friday, December 23, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel and will be officiated by Rev Bob Green. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
Survivors include sons, Mike and wife, Jamie Cress of Concord, Randy Cress of Concord, Jef and wife, Tammy Cress of Charlotte and Tracy and wife, Daphne Cress of Concord; sister, Barbara and husband, Larry Dress of Sarasota, FL; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchild; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren,.
