Robert Kenneth Jamison, 79, of Indian Trail, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Novant Health Harris Hospice in Charlotte surrounded by his loving family.
Ken was born January 2, 1945 in North Carolina to the late Thomas Jefferson Jamison and the late Mabel Marguerite Black Jamison.
He was also preceded in death by brother, Thomas Jefferson Jamison, Jr. and grandson, Brenton Christopher Austin.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Friday, March 8, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Jack Hartsell Memorial Chapel in Midland officiated by Paul Troutman. Burial will immediately follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens at 8901 Lawyers Rd., Mint Hill.
Survivors include wife of 59 years, Vickie Lou Stansell Jamison of the home, children, Jodon "Jody" Christopher Jamison (Denise), Jerrad Scott Jamison (Tammy), Shannon Leigh Jamison (Wes), and Amy Jamison Sehen (Jeff); grandchildren, Jordan Nicole Gray, Ashley Sehen Vanhoose (Derek), Travis Hunter Jamison, Jamison Grant Lemmond (Hannah), Carly Austin Clark (Joe), Madison Lily Sehen, Ethan Scott Howle; great-grandchildren, Blair Marlee Bennett and Noah Jordan Lemmond; siblings, Marilyn Jamison Valdes (Moses) and Richard Thomas "Rick" Jamison (Hope).
Ken was an avid lover of golf who was still able to perform at a high level shooting at or below his age numerous times. Ken retired as CEO of Southern Radio Corporation. His passion for business, finance, and golf led him to become part owner of Larkhaven Golf Club in Charlotte, NC and Crow Creek Golf Course in Calabash, NC. Ken had a passion for playing and collecting guitars and harmonicas, woodworking, and furniture making. Above all, God and family was always first in Ken's life, he was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather,who will leave a legacy of patience, work ethic, humility, kindness, and Godliness.
