Robert Kroekel

Robert "Bob" Kroekel, 69 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Kroekel was born November 5, 1946 in Atlantic City, NJ to the late Robert and Mary Driscoll Kroekel. Bob previously held a gospel music show on WZKY, as well as, hosted the annual Badin Festival. He always loved to entertain others and this passion drove him to sing and DJ at local retirement centers. He was an avid Carolina Panthers fan that will be missed by all that knew him.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date and friends are invited to greet the family at their home.

Survivors include; wife, Renee Kroekel; son, Steve Kroekel; daughter, Laura Kroekel Evers; stepson, Brian Wesley Almond; stepdaughter, Laura Elizabeth Hammonds; grandchildren, Gavin, Alex, Brandon, Shane, Kayla, Gracie, and Kristen.
