Robert Mcintosh

Robert Thomas McIntosh, better known as "Bud", 84 years of age, of Concord, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Mr. McIntosh was born June 24, 1930 in Erwin, TN to the late Earl McIntosh and the late Kate (Smith) McIntosh.
He was also preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Sue Craig McIntosh; three sons, Robert Gerald, Jimmy and Tommy McIntosh; as well as his sister Zeta Simmons.

Robert was a truck driver for almost 30 years, and a diesel mechanic until he retired from Carolina Tree Company. Those closest to him knew him as "Bud". He was a real kick in the pants who enjoyed kidding with people. He will surely be missed by all those who knew him. Survivors include his daughter, Tammy McIntosh Washam and husband Mark and their son Jordan of Mooresville, NC; brother Jack McIntosh and wife Kathy of Colorado; sister Stacy Nell Riddle of Oakridge, TN; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord, officiated by Rev. Tim Newton. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, NC.
