Robert Wayne “Bobby” Osborne, 66, of Harrisburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at CMC-NorthEast. The family will receive friends at St. James Lutheran Church 104 Union Street South, Concord on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 10 until 11 am. Funeral services will follow at 11 am, with Rev. Daniel Warnes officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg, where Masonic Honors will be held. Mr. Osborne was born on May 21, 1946 in Rock Hill, SC to the late Richard Osborne and Robmae Osborne. He was raised in Pineville and attended South Mecklenburg High School. He worked for Cunningham Wholesale in Charlotte for 20 years, and then he was proprietor of Chris’s Pit Board Restaurant in Harrisburg and was active in his community during his retirement. Mr. Osborne was affectionately known as “Tiny” to his Masonic brothers, and as he was a long time member of the Oasis Shrine Clown Unit where he participated in many local parades and worked for 20 years raising money for the Shriner’s Hospital for Children. He was a local favorite and known for his delicious BBQ, quick wit, classic jokes and giving spirit. The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care given by his nurses, doctors and caretakers at CMC-NorthEast. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Joyce Osborne of the home; daughter, Amy Mitchell of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Mae and Michael Wayne Clark, Jr. Memorials may be made to The Shriner’s Hospital for Children by calling 1-(800) 241-4438.
