Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle PO Box 7 Albemarle, NC 28002 704-983-1188 Robert “Bob” Paul Owens, age 75, of Albemarle, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at CMC-NE. . The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 22. The funeral service will follow at the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Paul Pickler. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Mr. Owens was born in Vance County, NC on January 17, 1937, to the late Astor Lee Owens and the late Pearlie Morris Owens. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brent Byrd. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Bernice Atkinson Owens, of the home; one son and one daughter; one stepson, Bobby Byrd of Spartanburg; one stepdaughter, Debbie Morris of Bladenboro; two sisters, Ruth Biggers and Clara Williams both of Albemarle; two granddaughters, Kelly Morris and Heather Bowers. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Owens family.
