Robert Safrit

Dale Safrit, 52 years of age, of Concord, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at Carolina's Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Dale was a native of Cabarrus County and was born on June 24, 1963 to Robert Leon Safrit and the late Diane Hughes Safrit. He was preceded in death by his mother as well as his grandparents, Kyle "Slim" Hughes and Mary Lee Hughes, who helped raise him.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Everette Cox . Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

Survivors include his wife, Trina Lefler Safrit of Concord; two daughters, Melanie Starlene Safrit and Katie Scarlett Safrit both of the home; grandson, Kaleb Lee Tallent; father, Robert Leon Safrit of Concord; four sisters, Ann Talley, Connie Walker and Karrie Goldsmith of Concord and Amy Pearson of Kannapolis; nine nieces and nephews; four great nephews; and one great niece.

Dale had worked at Cannon Mills and was a member of the E.C.A.- Rimer. He had served as a judge for the Cabarrus County Fair in the canning division. Dale loved to quilt and made all of his family handmade quilts with love.
