Robert Trammell

Robert L. Trammell, 80 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at his home in Stanfield, after a courageous year and half battle with cancer.

Bob was born January 28, 1938 in Haywood County, NC to the late Dodge and Selma Trammell.  He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Becky L. Trammell; brothers, Eugene and James Trammell; and sisters, Doris Boyles, Evelyn Trammell, Virginia Bridges and Bobbie Lane.

Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was a member of Stokes Masonic Lodge No. 32 and Oasis Shriners.  He was also a firefighter at Poplar Tent Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

Survivors include daughter, Kimberly T. Kost and husband, Billy, of the home; daughter, Dianne B. Sutten and husband, Rick, of Concord; son, Jeff Bratton and wife, Ruby, of Concord; grandsons, Christopher (Chesnea) Kost, Scott Rinehardt and Jeffrey Bratton; great-grandson, Hunter Dodge Kost; sisters, Carolyn Schronce, Florence Neal, Irene Calloway, and Janet Boyles; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 am - 11:30 am, Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A graveside service with military honors will be on Tuesday at 12:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.  Bob will be laid to rest beside Becky.
