Robert Gary Tucker, 70 years of age, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Gary was born May 25, 1943 in North Carolina to the late Robert Lewis Tucker Jr. and Margaret Beatty Tucker. Gary was the president of Tucker Furniture and Appliance for 50 years. He was a member of Gideon's International, a lifetime member of the S.R. McEachern Sunday school class and Bethel United Methodist Church, and was member of the US Navy. Gary enjoyed playing golf at Piney Point Golf Club and loved spending time in the mountains of West Jefferson, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Bethel United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 3:00 pm at Bethel UMC in Midland officiated by Rev's. Mark Clontz and Neil Crowell. Burial will follow at the Bethel United Methodist Cemetery.
Survivors include wife, Judy Howie Tucker of Midland, NC; son, Brad (Raquel) Tucker of Midland, NC; son, Scott (Stella) Tucker of Concord, NC; mother, Margaret Beatty Tucker of Midland, NC; grandchildren Jordan, Kyle, Grace, Christian, and Grant Tucker; brothers, Roddy Tucker of Midland, NC, and Chris Tucker of Fort Mill, SC.
