Robert Turbyfill

Robert Wayne Turbyfill, 81 years of age, of Midland, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at his home.

Robert was born September 19, 1934 in Green Mountain, NC to the late Roy Turbyfill and the late Martha Hughes Turbyfill. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Lillian Lynn Keziah Turbyfill, who passed away in 2008.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, 13575 Broadway Avenue, Midland, NC 28107.

He is survived by his daughter, Penny Lynn McGee and husband Rick of Midland; his son, Richard Turbyfill of Monroe; grandchildren, Jonathon, Seth, and Jeremy, Nicholas, Jenny and Tiffany; great-granddaughter, Dylan; sisters, Betty Bowdich and husband Harold, Brenda Turbyfill; and brother, Joe Turbyfill and wife Evonne.

Robert honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1957 - 1959. He was a dedicated employee of Yellow Freight and retired after many years of service. He loved his dogs, Lucy and Dink.
