Robert Ward

Robert Paul Ward, 82 years of age, of Concord, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 in Concord. Robert was born August 19, 1931 in New York to the late Donald Allen Ward and the late Dona Elizabeth Pendelton. He was also preceded in death by wife, Ruth Isabell Ward. Robert was a veteran of the US Navy, serving 1951 to 1954. He served in the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Missouri. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis officiated by Albin Greenwood. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park. Survivors include son, Gary Ward of Albany, OR; son, Steven Ward of Whitehall, PA; son, Robert Ward of Monroe, NC; daughter, Tamara Farthing of Apache Junction, AZ; daughter, Kimberley Ward of Concord, NC; brother, Lawrence Ward of Lakeland, FL; 13 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Ward family.
