Robert Carey Watkins, Jr., 63 years of age, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016.
Robert was born September 24, 1952 in Monroe, NC to Robert Carey Watkins Sr. and the late Mary Eunice Crowell Watkins, originally of Fairview Community in Union County.
Survivors include his father, Robert "Carey" Watkins, Sr.; his brother, Lynn Watkins and wife, Shawn; his sister, Cindi Varnadoe and husband, Frankie; nieces, Ashley, Erin, Emily and Heidi; as well as nephews, Matthew and Nathan.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lorenzo Graham and Marie Tara.
A drop-in gathering to celebrate Robert's life will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 5th, 2016 at the home of Carey Watkins, Sr., at 3801 Castlerock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
