Roberta Griffin

Roberta Bowers Griffin, 88, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Stanly Regional in Albemarle, NC. She was born September 1, 1924 to Claude Richard Bowers and Ruth Ella Hopkins Bowers who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugene Griffin, and daughter, Sylvia Griffin Coble. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Bethany United Methodist Church in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Richard C. Clough and Rev. Eddie Barbee. The burial will follow at the Fairview Memorial Park on Moss Springs Rd., Albemarle. Survivors include son Jack Griffin and wife Paula, of Rocky Mount, NC.; grandchildren, Christopher Griffin Coble, Regina Coble Clark, Brenda Jean Griffin, and William Jason Griffin; and 10 great grandchildren.
