Roberta Porter

Roberta Jean Porter, 80, of Harrisburg, NC, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on her birthday, Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at home.

Roberta was born May 11, 1942, in Pittsburgh, to the late Bertram Charles Mason and the late Hazel Lois Mason.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dale A. Porter.

Survivors include her children, Bill (Tina) Porter of Mt Pleasant, NC, Robin (Rich) Lattanzi of Charlotte, NC, David (Gina) Porter of Concord, NC. 7 Grandchildren, Mason, Austin and Ryan Porter, Nicholas and John Lattanzi, Erin and Nathan Porter and 1 Great Grandchild, Theo Porter. She is also survived by her brother George (Sandra) Mason of Black Mt, NC and sister Lois (Gary) Walz of Pittsburgh, PA and her favorite niece Kelly (Faisal) Roberts and great niece Madison Roberts.

Mrs. Porter was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who were a part of her life. Her greatest joy was her family. She was an avid reader and loved to share books and her favorite authors. The library was a favorite place. A book at the beach surrounded by her family was her happy place.

A memorial to celebrate her life and legacy will be private.
