Robin Elaine Cornette, 63, of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Mrs. Cornette was born May 29, 1961 in Landover, Maryland to the late Ernest Greene and the late Francis Elaine Freedman.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
Robin was born in Landover, Maryland and at an early age moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. She was a graduate of Twin Lakes High School. Throughout her lifetime Robin wore many hats. She excelled as a program manager for a national educational training company. Robin then became a devoted youth leader and founder of Color Purple Ministries in Brunswick, Georgia.
Over the years Robin began missionary work both locally and internationally. These missions included summer feeding programs, sporting programs for area youth, along with providing books, clothing, and fresh water to African Villages. Her love for giving never ceased and in the end she gave the ultimate gift of life by donating organs so others may live.
She will be missed by many that knew and loved her. May her legacy live on through the memories that she made with each and everyone.
Survivors include husband, Johnny Cornette of Charlotte, NC. Also surviving are her three children, Clinton (Dawn) Simpson, Timothy Simpson and Jessica (Jamel) Davis. Her grandchildren, Allen, Aurell, Anthony and Avery Simpson; Keily, Jamel Jr. and Josiah Davis. She also leaves behind a loving and special friend Betty Simpson and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews as well as her godchildren, Danielle and Darius Smith.
