Rodney Cook

Mr. Rodney Dale Cook, 52, of 7701 Woodmere Drive, Harrisburg, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at CMC NorthEast. Born on May 9, 1958 in Cabarrus County to Annette Redman Cook of Concord and the late Rodney Eugene Cook. A visitation will be held at Kingsway Baptist Church in Concord on Saturday, June 5, 2010, from 12:00 until 1:30. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 following the visitation with Dr. Bradley Price officiating. The family meeting place will be the home. Rodney was a member of Kingsway Baptist Church and a former member of Jackson Park Lions Club. He was a retired credit officer from the former First Union National Bank. He graduated in 1976 from Mt. Pleasant High School and then from Wingate College. He is survived by his loving wife Deidra M. Scranton Cook, of the home; daughters, Elizabeth Marie, Sarah Lynn, and Emily Nicole Cook, all of the home; brothers, Reggie Hunter Cook and his wife, Sherri, of China Grove and Eric Eugene Cook and his wife, Connie, of Troutman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kingsway Baptist Church, 7550 Ruben Linker Road, NW, Concord, NC 28027. Hartsell Funeral Home Concord is serving the Cook family.
