Rodney Hinson

Rodney Lee Hinson, 49, of Concord, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.
Rodney was born June 28, 1973 in North Carolina to Gordon Lee Hinson and Rebecca Goldston Sloop.

He was preceded in death by sister, Elizabeth Joleen Hinson; grandparents, Roy and Rachel Hinson, and Marshall and Aileen Goldston of Concord.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, followed by a memorial service at 3pm, officiated by Pastor James Barrett.

Rodney was a wonderful son and father.  He was an avid Duke and Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles, and would often go riding with his father to the mountains.  Rodney also enjoyed NASCAR and spending time at the beach.  But Most of all, Rodney enjoyed spending time with his 3 boys.

Survivors include dad, Gordon (Teresa) Hinson; mother, Rebecca Sloop;  sons, Zach, Kamden, and Austin Hinson; and step brother, Chad Smith.

Memorials and donations may be made to Poplar Grove Baptist Church of Concord.
