Roger Allen, Sr.

Roger Wayne Allen, Sr., 65, of Midland, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022.

Roger was born September 11, 1956, in Charlotte to the late Fred James Allen Jr. and the late Faye Templeton Allen.  He was also preceded in death by his son, Roger Wayne Allen, Jr., and wife, Vonnie Allen.

Roger enjoyed panning for gold and repairing antique clocks and pocket watches.  He was the proud owner of Allen & Sons Small Engine Repair.  Roger loved to learn and was obsessed with history.  He was a homebody, but would always give you the shirt off his back.  Family was the most important thing to him.  Roger was a loving husband, dad, Papi, and friend.  He will be forever loved and dearly missed.

The memorial service in celebration of Roger's life will be on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland.

Survivors include son, Cameron Allen of Midland; grandchildren, Nicholas and Brooklyn Allen; brother, Freddy Allen; and extended family, Rusty Burroughs and Janice Clark.
