Roger Bruns

Mr. Roger Lee Bruns, 49, of Concord, NC, formerly of Syracuse, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast. He was born on November 15, 1960 in Nebraska to the late Dwayne Leiswald and Dolores Swenson whom survives. Roger was preceded in death by sisters Rosemary and Rita, brother Russell, and step-father Sweeny Swenson. Roger was a general manager for MG Foods. He was a poet who wrote many poems for his book Life Lines. He was also an avid NASCAR fan who followed Jeff Gordon. He loved to collect sports cards, especially baseball, and to read about history. Most of all, Roger loved spending time with his family. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Services will be held at a later date in Weeping Water, Nebraska. He is survived by his wife Cynthia "Cyndi" D. Bruns, of the home; son, Mavrik Utah Bruns; daughter, Kacee Nicole Bruns also of the home; mother, Dolores Means Swenson of Weeping Water, Nebraska; brother, Robin Bruns of Bolivar, Missouri; sister, Ressa Patton of Weeping Water, Nebraska.
