Roger Burleson

Roger Lee Burleson, 82 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at home in Albemarle.
Roger was born February 17, 1933 in Stanly County to the late William Bratton Burleson and the late Mattie Irene Mills Burleson.
He was also preceded in death by son, Roger Burleson, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Monday, January 25, 2016 at Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. The memorial service will follow the visitation on Monday at 1:00 pm in the mausoleum. Rev. Bill Baldwin will officiate. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janet Leona Lewis Burleson of Albemarle; five sons, Donnie Burleson of Albemarle, Michael Burleson of FL, Art Burleson of New London, Rodney Burleson of Albemarle, and Scottie Burleson of Oakboro; one daughter, Bonita Diggs of Norwood; sister, Sharon Mauldin of NY; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren,.
