Roger Clontz

Roger Daniel Clontz, 60, of Roy Kindley Road, Monroe, passed away May 4, 2010, at his home. Mr. Clontz was born June 26, 1949 in Union County. His parents, Daniel Webster Clontz and Flora Medlin Clontz, both preceded him in death. Visitation will be Friday, 6 – 8 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m., with a 30 minute state, at Zion United Methodist Church, Old Fish Road, Monroe, officiated by Rev. Mark Curtis and Rev. Mark Clontz. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include son, Adam Clontz of Stanfield; daughter, Angela Collins of Stanfield; sister, Janie Whitley of Monroe; brother, Ted Clontz of Hinckley, IL; and three grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials sent to the American Heart Association, 222 S. Church St., Charlotte, NC 28202. Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, is serving the Clontz family.
