Roger Hathcock

Roger Bennett Hathcock, 70 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Presbyterian Main Hospital in Charlotte.

Mr. Hathcock was born March 29, 1947 in Stanly County to the late Randall Bennett Hathcock and the late Evelyn Herlocker Hathcock.

Roger served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed dancing, listening to blue grass music and was a "people person". Roger loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his friends. Roger was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at West Albemarle Baptist Church, 336 Church Street in Albemarle. A memorial service will follow in the church sanctuary at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Adam Hatley.

Survivors include son, Ryan Hathcock and wife Cheri; grandchildren, Dylan Blalock, Kennedy Blalock, and Cade Hathcock; sister, Mary Safrit and husband Gerald; and nephew, Eric Culp all of Albemarle.
